He was born in 1968 in Forbes NSW, the son of Paul Green and Lorna nee Macbeth. He studied for the priesthood at Vianney College in Wagga Wagga, made his Solemn Profession in the Order of St Paul the Hermit in 1996 and was ordained a priest the following year on 22 November 1997 as Pauline Father. Fr. Columba servers as Administrator of Tarcutta Parish from 1998 to 2002; from 2000 to 2014 he served as a New South Wales and Queensland Police Chaplain. At the time of his appointment as Bishop, he was the Provincial Vicar of the Pauline Fathers for Australia. In 1880 St. Laurence O’Toole Church of Gothic design was consecrated and opened, it consisted of the present nave only. Other additions consist in: 1905 Sanctuary and Sacristy 1923 Gallery 1936 Copper sheeting replaced and shingle roof 1958 Confessionals More recently the whole church was air-conditioned and a new organ was purchased. This was partly funded by a deceased estate and the parishioners helped by purchasing an organ key. In 2017 the Gallery was updated making it more secure and beautiful. A next project in the making is to change the carpet, paint, and upgrade the sanctuary area.
